MISSION
The Dean of Students Office provides leadership for defining and promoting our Compact for a Civil and Caring Academic Community. The Dean of Students area serves as an advocate for the rights of students; offers individual student support, provides programs, services, and co-curricular opportunities to empower students. The Dean of Students Office underscores the University's values and provides support and guidance to students, family, faculty, staff, and others for student success and well-being.

Departments
The Residence Life Office creates an engaging residential environment that is built for your success. Living on campus will open doors to your full university experience. In addition to supporting the academic mission of the University, Residence Life works tirelessly to create an exceptional residential experience that provides opportunities for growth and development for our diverse residential population.
The Student Conduct and Community Standards Office is committed to promoting student accountability and instilling a sense of civic responsibility through the enforcement of the Student Code of Conduct.
Student Leadership and Engagement is committed to an inclusive student centered environment that creates educational experiences for students which promote leadership, involvement, learning, and success. Student Leadership and Engagement collaborates with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community leaders to provide innovative and purposeful programs to prepare students for a diverse and changing world.
New Bengal Orientation at Buffalo State University is meant to engage students in immersive programming and presentations to become fully prepared for their first semester while creating friendships and connections within their new Bengal family. The Orientation, Transition, and Family Programs Office is committed to fostering seamless transitions into the campus community by providing comprehensive, inclusive, and engaging programs for new students and families.
The Office of Care and Support supports students’ academic and personal success by addressing basic needs, connecting students with on- and off-campus resources, providing crisis support and case management services, maintaining campus and community partnerships, and offering wellness and community-building programs. The Office aims to create a community of care here at Buffalo State University.
The Veterans and Military Service Office is honored to help support and guide all Armed Service Members, Veterans, Spouses and their Dependents on their higher education experience. At Buffalo State, students' core values, experiences, and service are not overlooked. Veterans and Military Services is committed to the intellectual, personal, and professional growth of all our students.
